2010. bodyscapes is a video performative installation (video projections and movement). Two female dancers entwine with mixed reality environments, an interplay between pre-recorded video projections and live performing bodies. In a self-imposed battle between love and hate, two performers diverge between qualities of caressing versus mistreating and affection versus destruction. The performers treat their bodies as landscapes to emote and enhance the experience of their inner turmoils through multiple layers created by digital devices. In an intimate and seductive play on emotional states, the performer’s create relationships between each other and the images projected on their bodies by each other, transposing outwards to the audience.
